I love a mug of hot mulled wine, and these long, cold days of winter do need a bit of spicing up! This delightful drink is easy to make, easy to drink (in moderation) and perfectly pairs with one of our delicious sugar free chocolate cakes or cheese and biscuit platter.
Ingredients
- 1.5 litres of red wine
- 100g SlimSweet™ Monk Fruit Sweetener, to taste
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 6 cloves
- 4 star anise
- 5 sprigs of thyme
- 1 peeled orange rind
Method
- Add all the ingredients to a large saucepan.
- Bring to the simmer, while constantly stirring.
- Cover the pot and let simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
